Rick Teal Walk for Health
A man once told him he was not college material, so Rick Teal put his nose to the grindstone in school and worked numerous side jobs to earn his bachelor’s from Francis Marion and his Master’s in Education from the University of South Carolina.
Rick served as the VP of Human Resources at Spartanburg Community College for over a decade until his passing in August 2021; even through rigorous chemo treatments, he worked to maintain the spirit of family at the College. A self-described foodie, Beatle-maniac, and Gamecock fan, Rick’s love of life spread to all who knew him.
This year, in conjunction with the OneSCC campaign and to celebrate Rick Teal’s memory and his love for both the outdoors and SCC, we are holding the Rick Teal Walk for Health on November 8, 2022. Your $20 registration fee will go to the Rick Teal Employee Support Fund and The SCC Foundation will add this amount to your OneSCC giving total.
