High School Dual Credit Options at SCC
Are you ready for college-level classes? At Spartanburg Community College, we can offer you the opportunity to enroll in our courses and earn college credit while still in high school! With your choice of either Dual Enrollment or Early College, you can start chasing a brighter future at SCC today.
Our Dual Enrollment program includes courses in general education, technology and health sciences, and if eligible you are welcome to join at any time during your high school career. The earlier you are able to join the program, the more college credits you can earn to go towards your college degree. Once you've finished your dual enrollment program and completed high school, there's always room here for another Chaser.
If you are a student or parent and are interested in Dual Enrollment, contact either your high school counselor or the SCC Dual Enrollment Office to learn more.
Unlike with the Dual Enrollment program, students qualify for Early College by being nominated by their Middle School counselor.
Starting in grade 9 and ending when you graduate high school, SCC's Early College program offers select students the unique opportunity to earn an associate degree while simultaneously earning your high school diploma. We currently offer three different Early College programs:

How do I Enroll in Dual Enrollment?
Speak with your high school advisor or reach out to the SCC Dual Enrollment Office to learn more about your eligibility.
When you apply, you will first need to create an account using a personal email address and not your school email. When creating your account, make sure to select "High School Dual Enrollment" to ensure access to the correct application.
Meet with your high school advisor for confirmation on which of the following is required for eligibility:
- High School Transcript

*The Accuplacer Test may be offered at your high school or career center. If not, reach out to the SCC Dual Enrollment Office to schedule your test.
After completing those steps, contact the SCC Dual Enrollment Office to confirm your acceptance into the college. Once you have been accepted, the SCC Dual Enrollment Advisor will assist you with advising and class registration.
