Federal Pell Grant (PELL)

The Federal Pell Grant does not have to be repaid and is a program for students who have not previously earned a baccalaureate degree. Pell Grant is considered the foundation of federal financial aid to which aid from other federal and nonfederal sources might be added. To apply, you must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

A student can only receive the Pell Grant for up to 12 semesters or the equivalent. Students can track their remaining Pell Grant eligibility on NSLDS at www.nslds.ed.gov or on the Student Aid Report.
