As communities continue to grow, the demand for goods will increase and more truck drivers will be needed to keep supply chains moving. Hit the road with Spartanburg Community College's Truck Driver Training Program for careers in the truck driving industry to help meet the fast growing needs for qualified professional truck drivers. 

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A is five weeks for a total of 160 instructional hours and will qualify you to drive a tractor trailer. The training program includes:

    • Coupling and uncoupling
    • Straight-line backing
    • Alley dock backing
    • Parallel parking
    • Shifting and maneuvering
    • Road driving
    • Safety
    • Defensive driving
    • Log bookkeeping
    • DOT rules and regulations
    • CDL examination preparation and testing
    • Job placement assistance

Registration Information and Course Fees

Class A CDL tuition costs $4,995. Tuition/scholarship funds are available.
