    What is SMART Jobs?

    SMART Jobs is a scholarship program funded by Spartanburg County to provide intensive short-term training for dislocated workers leading to full-time employment opportunities.
    The program is also sponsored by the SC Employment Security Commission and supported by the Spartanburg Herald-Journal, Spartanburg County Economic Futures Group, and the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

    What are the Qualifications to Participate in the SMART Jobs Program?
    • Must be a resident of Spartanburg County
    • Be unemployed or underemployed
    • Must be seeking fulltime employment

    Eligible participants who would like more information about the Smart Jobs program should contact the Smart Jobs Caseworker at 864-592-4953. To schedule an appointment with the Smart Jobs Caseworker, call 864-592-4820. Please bring a picture ID and your resume to the appointment.
