Mentorship Program
The office of Student Disability Services at SCC supports students in managing the challenges and limitations imposed by disabilities. Student Disability Services’ mission is to partner with faculty, staff, and students to create inclusive and accessible learning environments while facilitating academic success through innovative support services and programs. Students registered with our office can schedule and take advantage of mentorship appointments to navigate and overcome barriers that they encounter during their educational career.
Placement Testing Request
For students applying to SCC that need placement testing prior to entry. Students needing oral administration will need to schedule here with SDS. Students needing extended testing time, limited distraction testing rooms, or the use of a calculator can take the regular accuplacer placement test in admissions.

SDS Intake Process
Any enrolled student at Spartanburg Community College who has a documented disability that impacts the educational environment is eligible for services from Student Disability Services. Students must provide documentation of their disability at their own cost and effort. The office reserves the right to deny services or accommodations until appropriate documentation is provided. The actual services that will be provided are determined based on the nature and severity of the disability, the requirements of each individual academic course or service requested, and consultation with the student, the academic faculty, or the service provider.
