The Registrar's Office is responsible for course registration, maintaining student records, official grades, evaluating and granting transfer and advanced placement credits, grade changes, course substitutions, graduation, and record archival maintenance. In addition, the Registrar's Office protects student rights as defined by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Grades are entered into the database by the instructor. The Registrar's Office processes the grades to make them available for students to view online through the SCC Portal. Questions regarding grades should be referred to the instructor assigning the grade or the appropriate department chair.
