How do I access my 1098-T Form online? Log in to MySCC Portal. (If you need assistance logging into the portal, please contact
the IT Help Desk at 864-592-4682.) Under the Self Service tab, select Student Financial
Information", then select View My 1098-T Forms . A listing of available forms will
be displayed. Select the form you require and a pdf version will be displayed that
you can print.
Accessing the form directly online is the most secure method to retrieve this information.
In order to keep your data secure, please be advised that a paper 1098-T will not
be mailed unless requested through the Business Office and can only be mailed to the
address of record. It is the student s responsibility to keep their mailing address
current at all times with the Records Department.
What are qualified tuition and related expenses? Qualified tuition and related expenses are tuition and fees a student must pay to
be enrolled at or attend an eligible educational institution excluding amounts paid
for room and board, transportation and recreation fees.
How does Spartanburg Community College report? SCC reports amounts of qualified tuition and related expenses billed to students during
the tax year, and reports scholarships/grants posted to the student s account during
the tax year. For the 2012 tax year, a student s 1098-T may include amounts billed
for Spring 2012, Summer 2012, Fall 2012 and Spring 2013, depending on when the student
registered for courses. In many cases, a student will take advantage of early registration
for the spring semester and a bill will be generated in the November-December time
