    SCC Admission

    Achieve admission to the college by meeting SCC's requirements for associate degree programs.

    The next Medical Laboratory Technology Information Sessions are:

    February 24, 2023 | 10:00 am
    March 13, 2023 | 4:30 pm

    All sessions are held at the Giles Campus in HSB 306 (Health Sciences Building, Medical Laboratory Technology Classroom). You only need to attend one information session.

    MLT Program Prerequisites

    In addition to program-specific application procedures, students must complete the following prerequisite courses (with a grade of C or better).

    • One unit of high school biology or equivalent
    • One unit of high school chemistry or equivalent
    • COL-101 - College Orientation (or COL-103)
    • ENG-101 - English Composition I
    • MAT-110 - College Algebra
    • SPC-205 - Public Speaking

     

    NOTE: You must be a currently enrolled student at SCC to apply for this program! Apply to Spartanburg Community College if you are not already a current student. Students must be accepted to Spartanburg Community College before applying for the program. All transcripts should be sent directly to the Spartanburg Community College Admissions department if you are transferring classes. Please contact them at (864) 592-4800 or admissions@sccsc.edu with any questions regarding transcripts.

    Students must have a 2.5 grade point average or greater on the required college courses for the MLT program. Click here to calculate your GPA (PDF).
