The SC Workforce and Industrial Needs Scholarship (SC WINS) supplements Lottery Tuition Assistance to help cover tuition and mandatory fees left after applying all other scholarships or grants. 

When combined with Lottery Tuition Assistance and other financial aid, many eligible students will be able to attend SCC with little or even no tuition cost. Recipients will receive $100 per credit hour, up to $2,500 total per academic year, after applying all other scholarships or grants.

  1. Advanced Manufacturing/Industrial

    CAMIT - Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies - programs prepare students to be machinists, technicians, fabricators and much more.

  2. Computer and Engineering Technologies

    Whether you want to enter a career in the IT field or you're seeking to expand your credentials through short-term training, SCC offers a variety of programs to help you achieve your college or career goals. 

    SC WINS eligible Computer & Engineering Technoloies programs:

    Computer Technologies

    • Computer Technologies - From having no previous computer knowledge to having basic skills, SCC's offerings for computer technologies have something for everyone. Become a software developer, web developer, PC application specialist, programmer analyst, network administrator (cybersecurity), support technician and more. 

    Engineering Technologies

    • Engineering Technologies - If you are interested in a career in industrial drawing, electronics, technology or engineering, SCC's Engineering Technologies programs may be a great fit for you.

    Take a fully-equipped, state-of-the art kitchen facility, add professional chef instructors and a collaborative, student-team environment and you have a recipe for culinary success!

Who is eligible for SC WINS?

  • Dual Enrolled High School Students

    Students will be eligible to receive the SC WINS scholarship if they meet one of the following two criteria:

    Criteria One (Major): A dual enrolled student must be receiving a Lottery Tuition Assistance Program Scholarship (LTAP) for the current academic year and majoring in a critical workforce area as defined by the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education.

    --- OR ---

    Criteria Two (Income): A dual enrolled student must be receiving a LTAP scholarship for the current academic year and receiving free and reduced priced meals.

  • Students Who Have Completed High School

    Students will be eligible to receive the SC WINS scholarship if they meet one of the following criteria:

    Criteria One (Major): A student must be receiving a Lottery Tuition Assistance Program Scholarship (LTAP) for the current academic year and majoring in a critical workforce area as defined by the State Board for Technical and Comprehensive Education.

    Criteria Two (Income): A student must be receiving an LTAP scholarship for the current academic year and meet the USDA income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced-priced meals.
