Northside Residents Attend SCC Tuition Free!

If you are a high school student, recent high school graduate, just earned your GED or an adult currently living in the Northside community, you can now attend college, or train for a career, tuition free at Spartanburg Community College! The Northside Development Group and SCC have partnered to offer a new scholarship, just for Northside residents, in an effort to strengthen the community by providing educational opportunities.

How the Northside Scholarship Works

All eligible applicants will complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine their eligibility for federal and state financial aid. The Northside Scholarship will cover any tuition amount not covered by these options.

Contact Lekesa Whitner, Northside case manager at (864) 598-0097, for an initial meeting to discuss your educational and career goals. Next, you will meet with Tameka Whittenburg in SCC s Student Affairs Office to determine which program is right for you, and find out how to proceed with the admissions and financial aid process.
