Learn the basic techniques of riding a motorcycle! If you have little or no riding experience, then this three-session class is designed for you! You will become familiar with the location and operation of controls and practice starts, stops, turns and shifting. Control and balance are two key factors to successful riding. The beginner course meets standards set by SC law for an insurance discount. No drivers license needed. Motorcycles are provided by college. Requirements: . DOT approved full or open-face helmet (half helmets are prohibited) . Eye protection . Full-fingered gloves . Long sleeves or jacket . Long pants (non-flair denim or equivalent material) . Footwear that covers the ankles (low heel) . For classroom sessions, students need a pen or pencil and notepad
