This hands-on class, taught by Alex Hicks, esteemed photographer at the Spartanburg Herald Journal, will teach you how to use a camera to control exposure, color balance as well as determining what settings to use to take good pictures. You will learn photography terms and explanations as applied to the emerging world of digital photography. You are encouraged to bring laptops, cameras, and any other equipment to class. Film students are welcome but the class will be taught from the viewpoint of the modern digital SLR 35mm camera. If time permits, a field trip will be planned so you may critique your work.
