1. Spartanburg Community College
The online learning program offered at Spartanburg Community College includes five different associate degree programs (including those that set students up to transfer to a four-year college or university to continue their education) and over 150 classes in various areas of discipline. There are also two certificate programs offered at Spartanburg. Students can apply for many scholarships, grants and financial aid options to help save money on the cost of tuition. Student resources include tutoring, library services, clubs and organizations, cultural events and volunteer opportunities. Spartanburg is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
2. Piedmont Technical College
Students interested in pursuing a degree through Trident Technical College can choose from four programs: associate in arts, business technology (which includes accounting, general business management, administrative office technology and computer technology), criminal justice and homeland security. A variety of certificate programs are also offered through Trident Technical College. Before enrolling, students can take the online readiness survey to gauge their interest in programs offered completely online. Transfer programs are also available to students who wish to continue their education at a four-year college or university. Trident Technical College is located in Charleston, South Carolina and has more than 15,000 students enrolled each year.
3. Technical College of the Lowcountry
Online learning through the Technical College of the Lowcountry is offered in collaboration with Career Step and Ed2Go with programs offered every six weeks. Certificate programs are offered in the following areas of concentration: accounting and finance, business, college readiness, design and composition, healthcare and medical, language and arts, law and legal, personal development, teaching and education, technology, and writing and publishing. Sessions begin each month and are self-paced, so students can complete the courses on their own time. In addition, there are eight career step programs which students can take to become certified in specific disciplines.
