314 students and volunteers from three Spartanburg County schools took part in a Pi-K day event at Spartanburg Community College, Tuesday morning.
As part of the event, the students from Boiling Springs Middle School, Inman Intermediate School, and T.E. Mabry Middle School went along a nearly 2 mile long path (3.14K) around the campus stopping at 12 demonstration stations for different STEM (science, technologies, engineering, and math) fields.
The stations included exploding coke geysers, flashing light circuits, health science demonstrations, 3D printing, robot programming, and more.
The free event was funded through a state grant.
