An agreement between Spartanburg Community College and ECPI University in Greenville will earn SCC students automatic entry into the school.
SCC mechatronics and electronics engineering technology students will automatically be admitted into ECPI's bachelor of science in electronics engineering technology/mechatronics program.
Lynn Dale, SCC associate vice president of enrollment management and retention, said the agreement could impact between 50 and 100 students per year.
SCC students transferring to the ECPI campus in Greenville will be eligible for scholarships of $1,500 per semester, or $3,000 per year for full-time registration.
ECPI officials said the university will also waive application and registration fees for SCC students, and most SCC credits will be accepted.
"The Upstate's tech and manufacturing sector continues to flourish and by working together, we can help graduates fulfill their career ambitions and our employment partners meet their workforce needs," said Karen Burgess, president of the ECPI campus in Greenville, in a statement.
