Upstate Warrior Solution (UWS) opened their Spartanburg Field Office on the Downtown Campus of Spartanburg Community College (SCC), 220 East Kennedy Street, Room 136, The Arkwright Conference Room.
UWS will also present a check to Spartanburg Community College Foundation (SCCF) for the ongoing collaborative effort between SCC and UWS to fund a student outreach program (Veteran Student Ambassador) which will be hosted at the SCC Central Campus. UWS and SCC will continue to network together in an effort to reach the veteran community of Spartanburg.
UWS is a community-based not-for-profit organization serving Upstate veterans, active duty, National Guard, and Reserve warriors and their families. UWS serves Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Oconee, and Pickens counties. UWS connects warriors and families to community solutions; leads warriors to empower themselves; and inspires community to embrace the warrior and family. The vision of UWS is to restore our warriors with a sense of purpose, and to empower the community to be responsive to our warriors and their families.
“Upstate Warrior Solution is excited to serve the Spartanburg warrior community and their families, applying peer-to-peer outreach methods to locate and assist our warriors. Upstate Warrior Solution is a clearinghouse for connecting warriors and their families to the local resource base,” said Executive Director, Charlie Hall.
Spartanburg Field Office Director, Jonathan Burgess, stated that “Veterans are welcome to call our office at (864) 977-1288 or stop by to receive assistance.”
Office hours for warriors to seek assistance will be 8am – 2pm, Monday – Thursday, and 8am – noon on Fridays. Resources are also available at www.upstatewarriorsolution.org.
