The Heritage Classic Foundation is continuing its relationship with the Spartanburg Community College Foundation by funding the “Aligning for Success” video and collateral material.
The video (view at www.aligningforsuccess.com) and supporting material is designed to get teenagers to begin thinking about career choices and how to align their skills, talents and interests with career goals.
”Helping students in South Carolina realize their career and dreams and matching those careers with each student’s abilities, skills and interests is important,” Heritage Classic Foundation Charity Committee Chairman Stan Smith remarked.
“The Heritage Classic Foundation thinks it is a worthy cause and will help the state have a more educated and trained workforce in the future.”
The $20,000 sponsorship will help cover the cost of producing 10,000 “Aligning for Success” packages. The packages will be distributed to the nine school districts in Cherokee, Spartanburg and Union Counties.
Previously, the Heritage Classic Foundation sponsored Cherokee Country’s LEGO Robotics program.
