NCCER Electrical Level 1
Pre-requisite: You must have taken and successfully completed the NCCER Core Curriculum
before you can take this course and receive funding assistance. Copy of certification
may be required for registration.
If you’re looking to start a career in the electrical field without going through
an entire degree program, this short-term course is a great choice. It will introduce
you to the knowledge and skills needed to enter and excel in this high-demand job
market. The course is broken down into topics including: orientation to the electrical
trade, electrical safety, introduction to electrical circuits, electrical theory,
introduction to National Electrical Code, device boxes, hand bending, raceways and
fittings, conductors and cables, basic electrical construction drawings, residential
electrical services, and electrical test equipment. This course will provide 112.5
hours of training.
Possible apprenticeship with PEK Construction after completing course.
SCC Corporate & Continuing Education has funding for this course through Career Pathways Scholarship Funding. The financial assistance can help pay for training that supports attainment of industry credentials.
