    SMART Jobs

    SMART Jobs is a scholarship program funded by Spartanburg County to provide intensive short-term training for dislocated workers leading to career growth and full-time employment opportunities.

    The program is also sponsored by the SC Employment Security Commission and supported by the Spartanburg Herald-Journal, Spartanburg County Economic Futures Group, and the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

    What are the Qualification to Participate in the Smart Jobs Program?

    • Resident of Spartanburg County
    • High school diploma or GED
    • Unemployed or underemployed (less than 30 hours/week)
    • Eligible for rehire from most recent employment if unemployed
    • Be seeking training to lead to full-time employment

    What are the Training Options?

    • Computer Software
    • Healthcare Programs
    • Manufacturing/Industrial/Construction
    • Additional training options may be available based on individual need

    Veteran Scholarships Forever

    Veteran Scholarships Forever (VSF) is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping Veterans transition back to civilian life quickly and successfully. Our mission is to establish scholarships at accredited colleges, which will be awarded to Veterans, for certified vocational and/or technical training that can increase their potential for immediate employment. Veterans and their spouses are eligible for VSF scholarships. These scholarships do not affect any other government aid, such as the G.I. Bill.
