Now it's time to take the first step and complete an application for admissions. Also, depending on the type of student you are, there may be specific enrollment steps to follow. Please find the information that is relevant to you below.

    Information Just for You - 

    1. New College Student

      If you have graduated from high school, or completed your GED, and have never attended college before, start here.

      Non-High School Graduate start here - If you are at least 18 years of age but have not earned a high school diploma or a GED, you may apply for admission to selected industrial technology certificate programs.
    2. High School Student

      If you are still in high school and interested in taking college classes at SCC as a dual enrollment student (to earn high school and college credit at the same time), start here.
    3. Adult Learner

      If you’ve been out of school for a while but would like to earn a degree, start a new career, or gain professional development skills, start here

    4. Transfer or Transient Student

      If you are attending another college but would like to transfer to SCC, start here.

      If you would like to take classes at SCC while you are enrolled at another college, start here.

    5. International Student

       If you would like to attend SCC, but you are not a US citizen, start here.
    6. Returning Student

      If you have taken classes at SCC before and want to re-enroll after not being enrolled for three consecutive semesters, start here.

  • Restricted States for Online Classes 

    NOTE: SCC adheres to the federal authorization requirements for offering postsecondary distance education programs and courses in multiple states.  Currently, SCC cannot offer distance/online education programs and courses to students residing in the following states:

    • Iowa
    • Minnesota
    • Wisconsin 

    For more information, residents of these states who are interested in attending SCC should contact the Admissions Center at (864) 592-4800 prior to completing the application process.
