Hoping to attract June high school grads, BMW Manufacturing said Thursday it’s seeking students for its “technical scholars” effort, a program that provides tuition assistance to several two-year colleges, including Greenville Tech, a spokeswoman said.
The scholars program is geared to provide financial help to students attending school full-time enrolling for two-year degrees, said Becky Mann, a spokeswoman at Greenville Tech.
The offer is to study “manufacturing-related degrees” offered at Greenville Tech, Spartanburg Community College and Tri County Technical College, Mann said.
The degrees can potentially lead to full-time positions at BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC, she said.
The classes are scheduled to begin July 29th, she said.
