Student Records
Student records maintains the confidential information for all SCC students and alumni. Services includes registration, schedule changes, information changes, transcripts, grades, enrollment vertifications, transfer credit evaluations and graduation.
Degree Structure
Spartanburg Community College has been working to implement a new degree structure. This project is being mandated by the state and will take full effect beginning fall 2009. Listed below is a brief explanation of the change:
- All associate degrees excluding Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) will change to Associate in Applied Science (AAS).
- SCC will now have three associate degrees – AA, AS, AAS.
- All diploma programs will also change to Diploma in Applied Science (DASC).
- Certificate programs will not be affected

Grade Calculation
Grades are entered into the database by the instructor. Student records processes the grades to make them available for students to view on-line the
SCC Portal. Questions regarding grades should be referred to the faculty member assigning the grade or the student records office.
