Early Care and Education

Work with young children in daycare and more...

Want to become a daycare teacher or director, or a teacher's assistant? The Early Care and Education (ECE) programs at SCC Downtown Campus will prepare you for teaching the littlest learners. You'll learn why children behave and learn they way they do and positive methods of working with young children, and how to plan educational activities to enhance their physical, mental, emotional and social development.

Please note: applicants wishing to enroll in the General Technology-Early Childhood Development degree program or the Early Childhood Development Certificate Program must submit to a criminal background investigation (CBI).
