Medical Assisting Programs

Medical Assisting is an exciting profession where one performs administrative office procedures, as well as basic clinical and laboratory skills to keep the health care delivery setting running smoothly. Medical Assistants constantly interact with others and are expected to handle several responsibilities or tasks at once.

If you would like to find out more about this program, there will be a medical assisting program information session Tuesday, March 16 at 10:00 am in the Health Sciences Building, room 115.

Admissions packets will be available online only, April 5-8. They will be due back May 10.
Practical Experience
Students gain interpersonal and technical skills by completing a clinical component where they do hands on competencies in local doctor's offices

Professional Opportunities

Certified Medical Assistants work in doctor's offices and selected areas in hospitals or clinics.
